There are celebrations that happen when everything is perfect–with clear skies, dry roads, and a warm day–then, there are celebrations that become even more meaningful because they happen despite the circumstances.
This year, RW 95.1 FM brought AniberSAYA sa Barangay, now in its seventh edition, to the heart of communities amid rain and flooding. The weather could make things difficult, but it could never dampen the spirit of celebration.
From Maliwalu, Bacolor on August 15, to Balibago, Angeles City on August 22, and San Nicolas I, Magalang on August 29, AniberSAYA sa Barangay once again turned ordinary barangay days into moments filled with laughter, friendly competition, music, and togetherness.
At every stop, the crowd had plenty of reasons to cheer. The familiar excitement of Bring Me brought participants rushing to find whatever was called for, while Tiktokerists of the Barangay, sponsored by 24 Chicken, gave locals their chance to show off their creativity, confidence, and personalities.
The fun continued with Hep-Hep Hooray, where quick thinking and enthusiasm were put to the test.
And, of course, no AniberSAYA would be complete without music.
The Singing Gongtest once again gave aspiring barangay performers the chance to take center stage. With Rob Deniel’s “Nandito Ako” and Morissette Amon’s “Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw” serving as elimination songs, the competition brought out both the nerves and excitement of the participants—and the unmistakable support of the crowd.
Yet, beyond the games and prizes, what made this year’s AniberSAYA special was the simple act of showing up. The communities we visited were experiencing the realities of a rainy season that brought not only wet roads and gloomy skies, but also flooding in different areas. In the middle of all that, AniberSAYA offered something uncomplicated but important: a chance to step away from the worries of the day, spend time with neighbors, and simply have fun together.
It was a reminder that community spirit does not disappear when circumstances become difficult. If anything, it becomes more visible. RW 95.1 FM is grateful to the local leaders and barangay communities who welcomed AniberSAYA sa Barangay Part VII with open arms.
Our sincerest thanks go to Governor Lilia “Baby” G. Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” G. Pineda for their continued support. In Bacolor, we thank Mayor Eduardo Diman Datu, Barangay Maliwalu Captain Emerito Pineda, the Municipality of Bacolor, and the Maliwalu barangay staff for helping make our August 15 celebration possible. In Angeles City, our appreciation goes to Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, Barangay Balibago Captain Joseph “P.G.” Ponce, the City Government of Angeles, and the Balibago barangay staff for welcoming us on August 22. And in Magalang, we extend our thanks to Mayor Malu Paras-Lacson, Barangay San Nicolas I Captain Fernando “Wangyu” David, and the entire San Nicolas I barangay staff for their support and assistance, which helped make the final stop of our event a truly successful one.
AniberSAYA sa Barangay Part VII was presented by RW 95.1 FM, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Pampanga, Municipalities of Bacolor and Magalang, and the City Government of Angeles.
The celebration was co-presented by 24 Chicken, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), and Mekeni Food Corporation, with the support of our major sponsors, Beautederm, SM City Pampanga, and Nepo Center, as well as our minor sponsors Milo, Savers Group Holdings, Inc., and NLEX Corporation.
We also thank our Official Internet Provider, Converge ICT Solutions, Inc., for keeping us connected, and our Official Media Partners—RBC Media Group, CLTV36, SunStar Pampanga, and GG Truck—for helping bring the story of AniberSAYA to even more people.
Most of all, RW 95.1 FM thanks every listener, barangay resident, participant, supporter, and family who chose to celebrate with us despite the rain. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our listeners amidst the heavy rains and flooded streets reminded us of why RW 95.1 FM will always be your faithful countryside companion—rain or shine!
